What is ECOpure?

ECOpure is the liquid that you use in your Intellicig Electronic cigarette. It is used to fill up your Intellicig Refill Capsules. It is available in pre-filled refill capsules and you can also buy it in its raw form to fill your own refill capsules when they get empty.

ECOpure is Intellicig's flag ship product as is available in three flavours and various strengths.

ECOpure- What are the Benefits?

As part of a continuous development programme, all Intellicig ECOpure liquid is manufactured within a dedicated Class 8 Clean Room at laboratory facility.

Following substantial investment in state of the art High Performance Liquid Chromatography equipment (HPLC), Intellicig now tests ECOpure batches in-house for nicotine content and related substances, along with density and ph. You will now see a "HPLC" logo on all refill capsule packaging, reflecting this further improvement in Quality Control.

Intellicig uses test methods derived from the European Pharmacopoeia, ensuring the highest standard of result.

Test results are published on a Certificate of Analysis.

1. ECOpure is manufactured in the UK

ECOpure liquids are manufactured to GMP standard in the UK using UK sourced ingredients. ECOpure is manufactured in a state of the art laboratory in the centre of Manchester's bioscience community.

2. ECOpure uses only European Pharmacopoeia/ British Pharmacopoeia Sourced Ingredients

Nicotine, the API in ECOpure, is sourced from European Pharmacopeia (Ph. Eur.) manufacturers. Using Ph Eur Nicotine guarantees the highest quality of API available, ensuring a safer choice of brand.

3. Intellicig, manufacturers of ECOpure maintains a complete Lot testing system

ECOpure is manufactured using stringent quality control processes to ensure the highest quality Nicotine preparations available. Lot testing systems are in place to ensure a consistent product every time.

4. All raw ingredients used in ECOpure are sourced and manufactured in the EU

All raw ingredients used in ECOpure are manufactured within the EU, ensuring that only the safest and highest grade ingredients are used in the manufacturing process.

5. Why is ECOpure Glycerol based?

ECOpure was launched in 2009 to provide Users with a cleaner and safer alternative to the already available Propylene Glycol (PG) based preparations.

Glycerol was chosen as a base for these preparations due to its similarities to Propylene Glycol. While similarities exist in viscosity and its ability to act as a solvent, Glycol does not appear to exhibit the same irritant effects of Propylene Glycol.

Although both ingredients have been approved for use by numerous health agencies around the world, irritation of the upper respiratory tract appear to be more prevalent from the use of Propylene Glycol than from Glycerol.

ECOpure is a Glycerol based solution. Along with providing an alternative to Propylene Glycol, ECOpure provides consumers with the choice of a cleaner more simple preparation free of sensitizing agents, synthetic flavor enhancers, acidity regulators and numerous other ingredients commonly found in electronic cigarette PG liquid preparations. A combination of these ingredients is often responsible for the throat hit associated with PG use, whereas PG it is not believed to be responsible for this.

ECOpure use only vegetable derived Glycerol which is certified BSE and TSE free. Batch testing is carried out to ensure the absence of DEG from the Glycerol used in ECOpure.

PG use in electronic cigarettes has been associated with such symptoms as shortness of breath and sore throat. Users who suffer from eczema have a greater risk of suffering allergic reaction from PG.
